يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَتْكُم مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَشِفَاءٌ لِّمَا فِي الصُّدُورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
“O mankind! There has come to you an instruction from your Lord, a healing for what is in the hearts, a guidance, and a mercy for the believers.”
Sūrat Yūnus (10:57)
Personal Reflection
We all carry wounds that cannot be seen. Some were left by loss. Some by disappointment. Some by our own choices. Some by the words or actions of others. We often spend our lives searching for something to heal what hurts within us. Then Allah describes His own words as: "...a healing for what is in the hearts." Healing does not always mean the wound disappears overnight. Sometimes it means the heart slowly learns to breathe again. Sometimes it means finding hope where there was despair, peace where there was restlessness, or light where there was darkness. The Qur'an does not merely speak to the wounded heart. It comes as a healing for it.

Insight from Tafsīr al-Mīzān
Allamah Tabataba'i explains that Allah describes the Qur'an with four beautiful qualities in this verse: an instruction, a healing, a guidance, and a mercy.
The healing mentioned here is not for physical illness, but for the illnesses of the heart—such as doubt, false beliefs, spiritual ignorance, and the qualities that distance a person from Allah. Through its truth, the Qur'an removes what corrupts the heart and restores it to its natural receptivity to Divine guidance.
Once the heart begins to heal, it becomes able to receive guidance. From that guidance comes Allah's mercy.
Healing, therefore, is not the end of the journey. It is the beginning of a heart becoming alive once again through the words of Allah.
